Damien's one of the few actors I like who is obviously good looking. Other favourites of mine include Rory Kinnear, Sam West and David Mitchell.

I am kind of obsessed with Rory Kinnear at the moment, so looking forward to him getting more screen time in Skyfall.

I sat a couple of rows behind Sam West at an Eddie Izzard gig about 15 or so years ago.

David Mitchell is perfect, that is all.

I absolutely adore Peter Dinklage. I wish I gave a damn about Game of Thrones so I could watch him in it.

To expand on my earlier post (was on my phone at the time and busy)...

Vincent D'Onofrio: Detective Robert Goren of Law and Order: Criminal Intent. Love the character and he has the most intense pair of brown eyes and amazing cheekbones as well as being a tremendously talented actor.

Nathan Fillion, i like a guy who can make me laugh. My husband of nearly 21 years is like this, a dry sense of humour but he can make me roar with laughter.

Matthew Gray Gubler is very sweet.

I also adore Joseph Morgan who plays Klaus in The Vampire Diaries. He's terribly wicked!

Alexander Skarsgard and Matt Smith here! Also... I can't believe I'm admitting to this because he's like 8 years younger than me.. but David Henrie is very good looking too. :)

Say, SteelMoth, are you able to catch The Last of the Hausmanns at the National? I'm going later this month. So many reasons to hope the NT does release its Live productions one day. Besides Damien in Traveling Light, I'd like Cumberbatch in Frankenstein and, of course, Rory's Hamlet.

Rubyrosettared, Matthew Gray Gubler is very funny. He's a hoot on the Criminal Minds extras. But point of order! Point of order! I think Nathan Fillion is hot, obviously hot. Same goes for you Miss Lilli - Alexander Skaarsgard is clearly on fire. I don't think there's anything unlikely about a crush on a 6' 4 Viking.

David Tennant and Matt Smith too, in fact i utterly adore Matt Smith and will pretty much watch anything with him, i still have 'Bert and Dickie' on my Sky Plus planner to watch when i come back from holiday. Rumours are Doctor Who will be back the August Bank Holiday weekend, so yay for that!

Joe Manganiello is rather yummy also...he has an insane body.

Alas, no, I live in the backwater's of rural Suffolk, London is a major expedition, and I have kids, so swanning off to the capital to watch people I like in plays is a no-no. :( Fingers crossed for the DVDs.

I'm hoping they do the live thing with it though, a local cinema showed Frankenstein, but I didn't find out until too late. I'll give Hamlet a miss though, I can't abide Shakespeare, even Tom Hiddleston and Rory couldn't lure me in to watching the hollow crown, I'm afraid. :\

When it comes to Shakespeare, SteelMoth, I find it depends on the production. The Hollow Crown series is a perfect example. Richard II, with Rory and Patrick Stewart, was fantastic, and Ben Whishaw was a revelation. I looked forward to the Henrys but they just didn't engage me, despite the presence of Tom Hiddleston. Jeremy Irons and whoever played Hotspur were the only things that scored, despite how stellar I normally find the rest of the cast. But in one of the many documentaries that accompanied the show, they showed clips of a production of Henry IV at the Globe and I loved those, so maybe one day I might enjoy a production of the Henrys. I found I couldn't watch Tennant's Hamlet, despite Tennant himself and again Patrick Stewart, but I loved Tennant in Much Ado when he did it with Catherine Tate in the West End. It's all so variable.

When I first saw The Next Generation I was considered weird for going for the old bald guy over Kirk or Riker. Of course, that's now a classic debate.

Matt Smith is super cute in a fezz.

ooh what have I been missing here then! Are we listing unlikely crushes or likely crushes? confused
Feeling a bit like the odd one out but I do not have any, and are all crushes not subjectively likely?!!

It can be a hard one to call, due to charisma, cuteness, and the like. It's just that I'm aware that most of my favourites, in this oh so shallow world we live in, normally wouldn't make hottie hunk lists.

Kayla, I get Richard Hammond. I had a passing interest in James May. It didn't last though.

The people I find attractive at the moment are Damien Molony, Tom Hiddleston an Simon Amstell. I wouldn't call any of them 'unlikely' so I guess that means I have no unlikely crushes :p

I'm adding Aidan to the list, Aidan Turner...he has a sex appeal that makes my toes and my (very straight) hair curl. He isn't an 'unlikely' crush but he's a crush all the same.

I think Jon Pertwee may have been my first crush. He was my first Doctor.

Technically I was too young to really remember Patrick Troughton when he first aired, but I took a big liking to him during repeats.

Say, do we need an "Other Crushes" or "Blatantly Hot" thread?

Just having a wander through some old stuff which I've not seen before when I stumbled across this.  It made me laugh quite a lot......especially how quickly it degenerated into a 'hot men' topic!  Having a crush and finding someone ....'hot' are not really the same thing, are they?

I have no idea who a lot of these men are (!), but I have to agree with Ruby 100% about Aidan Turner; except that allthough I would put him absolutely at the top of the 'hot' list, I wouldn't say crush.  Oh no....my unlikely crush has to be Hal Yorke.  Who would ever have thought I could get quite so obsessed with a fictional tv character!  But those eyes belong to Damien.......
