It would be a shame if this topic was taken over by discussion on Damien's personal life. On joining the forum all members are pointed towards a copy of our guidelines which state that we do not dicsuss Damien's personal life here. Thanks!

Aww im so excited about this damo news today!!!

What a lovely suprise to see damien in such an active position at these awards, would have loved to have seen him present!

Was also brilliant to see damo in the daily mail :D xx

Hi Su! yes! it has been such an exciting day on planet DaMo!


I completely agree with you, and for Damien to be invited to present an award and have the media / photo agency coverage feels like he is being given the recognition he deserves as an increasingly well known and established actor. he totally stepped up to this position almost as an advisor to the young film makers, or certainly a role model, in the interview he was being looked to as the main speaker and his experience shows.

I felt him and MyAnna seemed very comfortable with each other. Hmmm Definitely another lady who has caught the #Molonyeffect . And did you see her glance at him when she was talking about Ripper? I wonder if he's auditioned for a part in the new series? It's filmed in Dublin (not far from his home). I did like the show, but what I liked best about it was at the end, when the credits were rolling, the BBC announcer always gave Being Human a plug, saying something like "If you'd like to watch some more drama now, head on over to BBC3 for the next episode of Being Human which is just about to start".  biggrin I always felt that one of the reasons why they moved the time of Being Human was that it did not clash with Ripper and I did wonder if the BBC felt the target audience for both were similar,

Damien in Ripper Street? That would be amazing! BBC quite often recycle their actors, look at Merlin Colin Morgan who now guest stars in the new show Quirke so I think there is a big chance Damien could get a role in some other BBC show :)

II thought MyAnna was just looking at Damo because she was a bit nervous and as afellow thesp, didn't pick up on Ripper Street thing!!! We need him back on our screen pdq though !!!:D Xxx

Yes, that is the probable explanation Ciara, but the glimmer of that idea went through my mind.

The event is supported by Independent Talent who manage Damien, so actorly networking must have been happening!
