I'm sure the person playing Edmund in this production will be great but I think we're all a little bit biased in this forum and it won't be the same without Damo!

that's so true ..  biggrinbiggrin

Anyway I would look at it again at NT Live, but unfortunately there are only a few places in Germany that show it. Hopefully later then, because it was really a great play and all the actors were great.

Didn't I read something that when it was at Chichester there was filming being done. Here's hoping somehow that will appear some day!!!

Thank you for this reminder Susan, yes it was filmed. I suspect we are grasping at straws that it will ever reach the public, but fingers crossed for a miracle! fingerscrossed

There is a National Theater live broadcast on September 27th. Unfortunately, of course without Damien, but with Ian McKellen. And it's actually shown in my city as well. I'll take a look again and recommend it to anyone.

Yes, my daughter (Brigid)and I are going as well! My other daughter (Eithne) is going to watch it at Hull. We usually exchange views by text at the interval and then by Messenger when we arrive home (a bit like being on the forum ). It's a shame Damien isn't in it but it's Ian McKellen so I will see it anyhow. I hear it's even better than his Macbeth, which is saying something.
