Cannot believe this was only just over 3 weeks ago!

I had quite forgotten to share with you all that someone tweeted the forum twitter account that they had heard rumours that Damien was to play Clara's new love interest... and claimed her source was connected to the show somehow.

How much truth there is to this who knows..just putting it out there.

Damien as the New Rory?

I haven't heard a single thing about this, except someone tweeting it as 'something they've heard' a little while ago. What an interesting thought.... (and if this turned out to be true, please Who writers, don't keep killing him and bringing him back to life!! ;) )

Agree Pearl it does sound hugely feasible, yes Lisa as I said, must stress it was based on rumour ! but when the speculation was going on, this was an option that hadn't crossed my mind at all!

Persistent rumour sounds a lot better than "whisper". Sounds almost possible...anyone able to camp out at the studios to see how true this is? lol.

of course, there may be a gazillion reasons as to why Damien was spotted with the Moff! for example... Moff is involved with other shows too as is his wife Sue Vertue..just to put the cat among the pigeons... Sherlock anyone?

It's all speculative fun of course but as with the next Doctor rumours...it's clear the world thinks Damien is the man of the moment with the ample skills to deliver in these tiptop shows!

The boy is getting noticed! It could be for Doctor Who, it could be for the next series of Sherlock or it could be (wildly speculating of course) for something completely different and not known about at the moment. Damien is notoriously sphinx-like about future projects.

I still think he would make an amazing master. But I guess only time will tell if he will be in it in any capacity or not.

No you're not Domino.
I said exactly this on this twitter at the time the Moff meeting rumours surfaced. The comment on twitter this afternoon about how it will explode after tonights episode is only about a very small cameo though...

I agree Kat. A Doctor Who based cameo would certainly make twitter explode & as Peter Capaldi was at the ep 2 screening in Cardiff this afternoon it's looking highly likely it is him.
