Well, I finally got a reply from Fern Berresford. No chance of a refund. I must admit I have absolutely no interest in any of the items I'm due to receive.
"We fully understand and share your disappointment that Damien is no longer in the film. For months we tried to reschedule a date to shoot FELL with Damien but with his involvement in ‘No Man’s Land' and other projects - he decided he could no longer commit to FELL and chose to walk away. This was completely out of our control."
I just hope he was paid for the failed attempt to shoot that he took part in.

Glad you had a reply Ellie. It does sound like they are as disappointed as us.. but his commitment to NML was known about for quite some time in advance, shame the rescheduling with him didn't happen. Damien is obviously very in demand. I can imagine it was very hard for him to walk away and is probably disappointed too.
Is it wrong that the part standing out for me is "other projects " ?!?!?
Hmm wondering that too but in his interview about NML he hoped to have screen time this year and that must be the reason he felt bad leaving Fell project. So could there be something else?

But I like to think that he 'chose to walk away' rather than they decided they couldn't wait for him so I hope that's an accurate account. I agree - the stand out part is the 'other projects' comment.......
Thanks for sharing this with us Ellie. I'm not so interested in the goodies now either - although I'm glad Tamla Kari is still involved - but I'm not at all surprised that they didn't offer a refund.

While I am not interested in getting any of the "goodies" from our donations to Fell, I was just wondering if anyone actually received any? I haven't and it's been ages.
Ever since Damien was no longer involved I’ve only kept a vague eye on this project Ellie, but you’re right many of us contributed at the funding stage. I’ll contact the guys on Monday and try to find out !
