Damien and Owen Teale recorded a Talks at Google discussion for No Man's land today!

Talks at Google are quality in-depth discussions of quite a length, this should be amazing! (and great photo too!)

The talk will be available in under 2 weeks - Something rather exciting to look forward to!

I can't wait for it, Google talks can be around an hour long, so fingers crossed that will be the case! This will be the most in depth we've heard Damien and Owen talk about No Man's Land. The BBC Radio Newcastle interview with them both was fab, but interrupted and overall fairly brief. Could we be about to witness the longest Damien interview on record? And on video too!

That will be great, looking forward to it! A nice lead up to seeing No Man's Land live stream at my local cinema.

Yaay!  This is excellent news!  I was excited for the Q&A at the NT live screening....but I suspect that will mostly be Ian and Pat - quite rightly to be fair!  The BBC Radio Newcastle interview was far too short wink and - as Rosie said - Damien always has something insightful and perceptive to say.  Really looking forward to it!

Wow this was wonderful interview, I was bit confused at first when there only Owen there talking about the play and making fun about Damien having a long night but he actually was latebiggrin

He did great though, and it was so interesting to hear about his thoughts about the play and questions were good.

I'm going to see NML again at cinema 10 from now (19th) and I have to say I do enjoy NT Live. I did go see Hamlet (starred by Benedict) and The Crucible (starred by Richard Armitage) in my local cinema and I liked them a lot even though it was different kind of experience.

Then I did go see The Hard problem (NT live), I had seen it already twice in London before that and seeing it again in cinema gave more deeper view cause like one lady in the audience said, you get the best seat at the play. I'm really looking forward to see NML again, I think it will give me more better look inside the play, the might be bits I didn't get or ingored or unoticed for some reason and I just really enjoy second change seeing it.

And then I went to see Travelling Light at the National theatre archive and even though I was sitting beside computer it was rather similar experience like NT live, I just wasn't watching it in cinema. I did laugh out loud and noticed many times I was so into play and living it, I forgot where I was. It was more studuying expereince.

Funny thing, when I have seen NT live in cinema, every time audience stood up in the end and clapped to the play. It's wonderful. Like tribute to the play and the actors which they will never see.

Aaw Ian bless that man, giving good tips and thoughts about Shakespeare to Damien, if he will ever do one I will certainly go see it no matter what!smile

Damien seemed so gutted when he told the plays he missed out, world of theatre is so much in his heart. I hope he will have little time off afte NML so he can catch up.

Loved it, thought Owen did a great job handling it all on his own till Damien arrived.

It was nice to hear Damien talk about his wife and his family, he doesn't mention them often. I think it is lovely that, thanks to NTL, his family in Ireland and the US will be able to watch him act in London - and with such illustrious companions.

Like Jozie, I loved to hear him talking about the plays he wanted to see and those he missed - so sweet that he talked to all the cast of the one he'd seen to tell them how much he'd enjoyed it and their performances.

Ian seems to have taken Damien under his wing somewhat, with the reading list and advice. So sweet - what a wonderful mentor to have!

Just amazing to see Damien at a Google Talks event, may it be the first of many! Enjoyed his and Owen's insights into the play, but also loved Damien's tangential mention of Hal and Being Human.

I enjoyed watching this interview.  The insights into the play given by Owen were great.  I'm glad that I did understand the play pretty well if I missed a couple of points.

It was interesting to hear that Damien has family in the US and that his families in Ireland in the Ireland and in the US will be able to see him on stage through NT.  I don't have plans to go since I've seen it live but I'm glad that it exists.  I hope to be able to make it to see other plays at some point.

It would be nice to see NML again on the big screen.  I thought there was a cinema here showing it but that doesn't appear to be the case. cry  I think possibly the theater that use to show them got bought out by another cinema recently.

Can you believe this was 3 years ago? (to the very day!)

Still thrilling that our fave actor was part of Google Talks...

And of the cast of No Man's Land!

I love how Damien turned up fashionably late - half way through the interview!

It's always great to revisit a Damien interview

A great interview. I think there were also good questions asked. If I were sitting there, I would not think of a good question so quickly.
